Named after a mountain in the Italian Alps, this variety produces impressive plum-shaped tomatoes that typically reach 10–12 ounces.

The vigorous, indeterminate plants continue producing throughout the growing season. Unlike some sauce tomatoes that are primarily valued for cooking, San Marzano Redorta has excellent flavor fresh from the garden while still offering the meaty texture that makes San Marzano types so useful in the kitchen.
