The compact but indeterminate plants produce heavily throughout the season and should be supported with a stake or cage. Fruits typically grow in clusters of 7–10 tomatoes, with each tomato weighing approximately 2 ounces. They hold exceptionally well on the vine, giving gardeners flexibility when it comes time to harvest.

Principe Borghese is traditionally associated with making sun-dried tomatoes, but its uses go far beyond drying. The flavorful fruits are delicious fresh in salads and are outstanding when oven-roasted with olive oil and fresh herbs.
