A versatile and bushy perennial herb from the mint family, highly regarded for its refreshing, sweet lemon scent and flavor. Its gentle, uplifting profile makes it an excellent choice for a calming tea, or a flavorful addition to desserts, fruit dishes, and savory stuffings. The light green leaves are crinkled and highly aromatic. Regular harvesting of the stem tips promotes a dense and bushy habit. While the plant can tolerate light frost, a location with some shade will produce more tender leaves. It spreads, though less aggressively than true mints, and can be grown easily in containers or garden beds.
