Herb - Basil (Purple)

A highly ornamental and culinary herb that makes a striking statement with its deep, uniform amethyst-purple leaves and stems. Possessing a milder, more delicate sweet basil flavor with notes of clove and spice, it is visually stunning when used fresh as a garnish, in colorful pestos, infused in vinegar, or tossed into salads. This variety is slower to bolt than some green types and retains its magnificent color well. It thrives in full sun and warmth, and like all basils, responds well to frequent pinching to maintain a bushy form and prolific leaf production.
