A classic culinary herb with fresh, aromatic flavor! Known as Aneto in Italian, dill produces delicate, feathery foliage with a distinctive flavor that pairs beautifully with vegetables, fish, potatoes, salads, sauces, and pickled dishes.

Dill is a hardy annual that grows best in a sunny, sheltered location. Direct sow from spring through mid-summer for an extended harvest. Because dill does not transplant particularly well, sowing directly where you intend to grow it is recommended.

Sow approximately 1–2 seeds per inch and thin seedlings to one plant every 8 inches. For a continuous supply of fresh dill, additional sowings can be made throughout the season.

If plants are allowed to flower and produce mature seed, dill can readily self-sow and may return to the garden the following year.
