A traditional Italian leaf chicory with crisp white stems and flavorful green leaves! Catalogna Pugliese is a tall, open-growing variety that produces long white stems surrounded by attractive, serrated green foliage.

Both the stems and leaves are edible and can be enjoyed raw or cooked. Young, tender leaves add a pleasantly bitter Italian flavor to fresh salads, while mature leaves and stems are excellent sautéed, boiled, braised, or added to soups and other cooked dishes.

Catalogna Pugliese performs particularly well as a fall crop, when cooler growing conditions help produce tender, flavorful greens.
