Unlike chard varieties grown primarily for large, thick stalks, Verde da Taglio is especially valued for its leafy growth. The tender leaves have a mild flavor and can be prepared much like spinach, making this an excellent choice for salads, sautés, soups, pasta, and everyday cooking.

Harvest individual outer leaves as needed or cut the entire plant and allow it to regrow for another harvest. Its vigorous regrowth makes Verde da Taglio an excellent choice for gardeners looking for a continuous supply of fresh greens.
