A tender Italian-style French pole bean with excellent flavor and a long harvest season! Santa Anna produces slender, deep green pods on vigorous climbing plants and is an excellent choice for gardeners who enjoy delicate, tender green beans.

For the best flavor and texture, harvest the pods young while they are no thicker than a pencil. Regular picking encourages the plants to continue flowering and producing new beans, providing a generous harvest over an extended period.

Santa Anna is a climbing pole bean and requires support from a trellis, poles, strings, or a tripod. Plant once the soil has warmed well.

For individual poles, sow 4–5 seeds around the base and thin to the strongest 2–3 plants. When growing on strings, sow approximately 2 seeds per string and thin to 1–2 plants. For trellises, sow 2 seeds every 6 inches and thin to one plant every 6 inches.
