Seeds - Bean (Yellow Roma Pole - Meraviglia di Venezia)

A beautiful Italian climbing bean with tender, light yellow pods and excellent flavor! Meraviglia di Venezia, meaning “Marvel of Venice,” is a vigorous pole bean prized for its productivity, early harvest, and long, meaty Roma-style beans.

The attractive, stringless pods can reach up to approximately 10 inches long and have a tender texture and delicious flavor. They are excellent simply cooked and served as a side dish or used in fresh bean salads and a variety of Mediterranean-inspired recipes.

Meraviglia di Venezia is an especially early variety for a pole bean, reaching maturity in approximately 55 days. The vigorous climbing plants require support from a trellis, tripod, or poles at least 7 feet tall. Harvest regularly to encourage the plants to continue producing throughout the season.

Plant after the soil has warmed. For poles, sow 3–4 seeds around the base of each pole and thin to the strongest two plants. For trellises, sow approximately 2 seeds every 6 inches and thin to one plant every 6 inches.
